Back again this year, we are holding the Director's Essentials Track featuring representatives from Doeren Mayhew, Justin Glazman and Jeanine LaBarbera, both CPAs with a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of credit unions. During this session volunteers will get a refresher on the basics along with updates including recent changes and pending regulations and any foreseeable changes that may impact credit unions. Below is the schedule when each will be presented to allow attendees to attend any or all three topics.

Financial Skills for Directors & Volunteers  is sure to be an informative session for new volunteers and a refresher for seasoned directors.  Attendees learn introductory financial literacy for volunteers; an understanding of the credit union’s balance sheets; an understanding of the income statement and how money flows through the organization.  Key ratios and metrics will also be presented.  This Topic Will be Presented 2:30-3:15

Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering/ Transaction Reporting (BSA)
Volunteers with hear an overview, reporting requirements and the latest updates pertaining to BSA.

Director's Role in Managing the Credit Union
The volunteer directors represent the membership and are vital to the success of the credit union. This session will provide an outline of the key aspects of the Board's Role, stating both what Directors should do and in some cases what Directors should not be involved in, for the smooth operation of the credit union.
